Visit of the the Patriarch of the Syriac Orthodox Church to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On October 10, by invitation of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II, Syriac Orthodox Patriarch of Antioch and All the East, made a fraternal three-day visit to Armenia. During the visit His Holiness Mor Ignatius Aphrem II visited the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide at Tsitsernakaberd, as well other places. On October 12 during the celebration of Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, a prayer for peace in the Middle East was offered by the heads of two Sister Churches; His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians; and His Holiness Mor Ignatius Ephrem II, Patriarch of Antioch and All the East.
