Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

A consultation on the current situation in Syria, in advance of the upcoming Geneva II peace conference on Syria, was convened from January 15 through 17, in the Ecumenical Centre of Geneva, organized by the World Council of Churches. In attendance at the conference were Spiritual Leaders and representatives of various churches from Syria, Council of Middle East Churches, Vatican, and the World Council of Churches. Representing the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin was His Eminence Archbishop Vicken Aykazian, a member of the WCC Central Committee and Diocesan Legate and Ecumenical Officer of the Diocesan Legate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America in Washington, D. C..
