The visit of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania to the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
On September 13, the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II received the delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Romania Yulian Fota at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. His Holiness Patriarch referred to the military operations unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia, as a result of which there are victims, wounded and destruction. In this regard, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed hope that the international community will take measures to curb Azerbaijan's aggression for the sake of establishing peace in the region. Deputy Minister Yulian Fota expressed his condolences to the Catholicos of All Armenians regarding the Armenians who died as a result of Azerbaijani aggression, assuring that the Romanian government will make every effort to contribute to the establishment of stability and peace in the region. Mr. Yulian Fota expressed hope that his visit to Armenia will contribute to further deepening and rapprochement of relations between the two friendly countries. The Deputy Minister conveyed to the Catholicos of All Armenians the greetings and best wishes of Patriarch Daniel of the Romanian Orthodox Church. During the conversation, reference was made to the centuries-old warm relations between the two peoples, as well as the involvement of the Romanian-Armenian community in various spheres of life in Romania and the country's development process. The Armenian Patriarch expressed his gratitude to the authorities of Romania and the Orthodox Church in Romania for their caring attitude towards the Romanian Armenian community and the Armenian Diocese of Romania.
