Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On June 23, the Aragatsotn Diocese celebrated the 20th anniversary of the consecration of Saint Stepanos Church in Chknagh village. The Sunday following June 20 is the day of the church vow, on the occasion of which every year the Relic of St. Stephen Protomartyr is brought from Holy Etchmiadzin and a festive liturgy is offered. The Church in Chknagh was built under the direction of Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, next to the 4th century Saint Stepanos Church. With the benevolence of the Hovsepyan family, not only the only functioning church of the new village was built, but also the foundations of the old church were strengthened.
