The relic of Patriarch Hakob Mtsbna in St. Hakob Church of Kanaker

On December 17, the Armenian Church celebrated the commemoration of Patriarch Hakob Mtsbna. With the blessing of the patriarch of all Armenians, on that day the coffins and reliquary containing the saint's relics are taken out of the treasury of Holy Etchmiadzin and taken to the churches bearing his name. Due to the blocking of the Lachin Corridor, the nationwide pilgrimage initiated by the Artsakh Diocese to the historical Hakobavank monastery where for the first time the relic bearer of Patriarch Hakob Mtsbna right should be taken has been cancelled.
