In 2022, diocesan Primates were elected in three dioceses of the Armenian Apostolic Church abroad. Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Grigor Khachatryan was elected as Primate of the Armenian Diocese of France; Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Mesrop Parsamyan was elected as Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the United States; Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Oshakan Gyulgyulyan was elected as Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Iraq.
