The GCC's reference to the organization of the gay forum in Yerevan

On November 1, the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council in Holy Etchmiadzin Mother See referred to the initiative of organizing a forum of homosexuals in Armenia. Members of the Supreme Spiritual Council expressed concern about possible undesirable developments, stressing that the promotion of homosexual behavior threatens national and spiritual values.
Catholicos of All Armenians Karegin B presented his observations on the issue, specifically stating: "Strictly rejected and condemnable are the steps taken by LGBT representatives to cause incitement in society and any publicity and advertising of the phenomenon of homosexuality, which is a temptation for our growing generation and a threat to the survival of our nation. ".
