Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Mother Cathedral of Saint Gregory the Illuminator in Yerevan celebrated the Feast of the Discovery of the Relics of St Gregory the Illuminator, the last of the three feast days devoted to the first Catholicos of All Armenians. On that day, led by banners and a procession of pilgrims singing hymns, a flame was taken from St. Gregory's lantern at the Monastery of Khor Virap and brought to the Mother See. By Pontifical Encyclical the feast was also declared as a pilgrimage day of the St. Gregory Mother Cathedral of Yerevan.
