Sunrise Service at the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Sunrise Service is dedicated to praising the Holy Spirit and is held at sunrise. It symbolizes Christ’s appearance to His disciples after the Resurrection. The service is observed during Great Lent (except on Saturdays and Sundays), beginning on the first Wednesday and continuing until the Friday before the Resurrection of Lazarus.
