On March 05, a Sunrise Service was offered in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin under the presidency of HH Karekin II. It was previously a part of the morning service. It symbolizes Christ's Resurrection and appearance to His disciples. It is offered at sunrise and is identified with Christ's Resurrection. This service was established by Catholicos Ezr I (630-641) and in the 12th century it was enriched with the hymns of St. Nerses Shnorhali.
