Sunday of the Steward-2014

26.03.2014

The fourth Sunday of Great Lent is called; "Sunday of the Steward", named after the Gospel fable which is the scripture reading for the day. The meaning of the parable is in the wealthy man who symbolizes God, and the unjust steward symbolizing the sinner. For a long time, the sinner carelessly wastes the graces granted by God, until God calls him to account for his life. The unjust steward symbolizes all who regret their actions and forgive those who have sinned against them, and become seekers of righteousness and the just.
