Revival of the Craft of Armenian Porcelain

28.04.2017

Following the start of the Armenian Genocide in 1915, the Islamic people of Turkey began to gradually adopt the art of porcelain making as their own. But in reality, the founders of the porcelain culture in Turkey are Armenians from historical Western Armenia/present day Turkey. It was founded in the city of Kütahya, Turkey. Today, a porcelain workshop has been started in Armenia, which aims to restore the old traditions and renown.
