Renovation of the Mother Cathedral-2014

In 2012 the renovation project of the Mother Cathedral was initiated. During this period Mr. Amiran Badishyan, Chief Architect of the Renovation Project of the Mother Cathedral, and local specialists have thoroughly examined the Cathedral dome. Specialists from Italy, China, Germany and Russia have also participated in the discussions. Over the centuries, the Mother Cathedral has been renovated many times, the last renovation was in 2000 during the pontificate of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.
