Procession of the Cross on Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross

On the evening of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, a reliquary containing a piece of the Holy Cross was decorated with basil and other aromatic flowers, and processed around the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. The Service of Andastan (Blessing of the four corners of the world) was offered following the procession.
