Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

At midnight on the Eve of the New Year, a Pomegranate-blessing service was offered by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians; in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. In the Armenian tradition, the pomegranate is a national symbol representing life, abundance and prosperity.
