Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Commemoration day of St. John the Baptist and Job the Righteous is the pilgrimage day for the St. Hovhannes Karapet Church of Byurakan. On this occasion the relics of St. John the Baptist was taken from the Mother See to Byurakan, where Divine Liturgy was celebrated.
