On the evening of Palm Sunday, at the conclusion of Evening services, the Opening of the Door service is offered, which is one of the wondrous services in the Armenian Church calendar. The Opening of the Doors service through its hymns, holy scripture readings, symbolizes Judgement Day and the Second Advent of our Lord Jesus Christ.
