The Catholicos of All Armenians entered the St. Gayane Church by sprinkling rose water and conveying blessings. The feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ is the third of the five tabernacle feasts of the Armenian Apostolic Church. The basis is the event on Mount Tabor mentioned by the three evangelists.
