New Layer of the Mother Cathedral Frescoes Painted by Hovnatanyans have been Uncovered

During the renovation and re-construction of the Mother Cathedral the restorers have uncovered a new layers of frescoes. The frescos were painted by the Armenian renowned painters Naghash Hovnathan and his sons Jacob and Harutyun. The murals were painted during the 1700s.
