Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Lmbatavanq Monastery, in the Shirak region is a well known pilgrimage site. It was one of the centers of spiritual education in Armenia. The Monastery is also famous for its murals, which are in need of restoration. Currently, the murals of the Monastery are being cared for by specialists from Italy through the initiative the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia.
