Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On April 17, evening of the Holy Thursday, in all Armenian churches the Khavaroom (Betrayal) service was offered, which presents Good Friday. It symbolizes the Tortures and Crucifixion, Our Lord Jesus Christ. Gospel readings during the service recall the prayer of Jesus in the garden of Gethsemane, His betrayal, arrest, and the denial of Peter.
