Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On March 19 the Enthronement Service of the newly elected Pope of the Roman Catholic Church, His Holiness Francis, was held. Delegations from 132 countries of the world along with 34 world leaders attended the inauguration ceremony. Over one million pilgrims from all over the world were in attendance for the ceremony. A Pontifical delegation from the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, led by His Holiness Karekin II Catholicos of All Armenians, attended the enthronement service. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the ceremony along with many other world leaders.
