On March 24, in the evening of Holy Thursday, the Khavaroom (Betrayal) service was offered in all Armenian churches. The service refers to the events of Good Friday, the Tortures and Crucifixion, of Our Lord Jesus Christ. The Betrayal Service symbolizes the Lord’s betrayal, arrest, as well the denial of Peter.
