Granting of Pectoral Cross

On October 11, the service of bestowing the rank of Archimandrite (Vardapet) was offered at the St. Mesrop Mashtots Church in Oshakan. Four members of the brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin received the rank of Archimandrite (vardapet). On October 13 His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received the newly consecrated Archimandrites granting them each with a Pectoral Cross, as a sign of their rank.
