Fresco of the St. Mesrop Mashtots Church of Oshakan is being Restored

The interior of the St. Mesrop Mashtots church is covered with the “Glory to Armenian Letters and Literature” fresco painted in 1961. The fresco, which is one of the best monumental works of 20th century, needed to be restored. At the request of the Aragatsotn Diocese, Mr. Armen Sargsyan, President of the Republic of Armenia; undertook financing of the restoration of the fresco.
