Feast of the Holy Translators

On October 12 Armenian Church celebrated the feast of the Holy Translators, which is one of the most favorite and beloved national-ecclesiastical feasts. On this ocassion Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the St. mesrop Mashtots Church of Oshakan. The Armenian Apostolic Church has two feasts devoted to the translators. The first feast is the "Feast of the Holy Translators St. Sahak and St. Mesrob" and is celebrated on the Thursday after the fourth Sunday of the Feast of Pentecost. The second feast is the Feast of the Holy Translators - Sts. Mesrob, Yeghishe, Moses of Khoronk, philosopher Davit Anhaght, Gregory of Narek and Nerses the Gracious.
