Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On July 05 the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Discovery of the Relics of St Gregory the Illuminator, On this occasion a Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Saint Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral of Yerevan. The day before the feast, a procession of pilgrims singing hymns escorted a flame taken from St. Gregory's lantern at the Monastery of Khor Virap to the St. Gregory Cathedral in Yerevan.. The feast day is observed as a pilgrimage day of the church.
