Feast of the Ascension in the Mother See

On 25 May, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this occasion, Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all Armenian churches. In the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin the celebrant was His Grace Bishop Vasken Mirzakhanyan, Primate of the Armenian Church in Georgia. At the conclusion of Divine Liturgy, a Pontifical Prayer was offered, commemorating the return of the See of the Catholicosate of All Armenians to Holy Etchmiadzin in 1441.
