Feast of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions

On February 24, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church commemorated the feast day of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions. In the Holy Mother of God Church in the Diocese of Armavir, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; a Divine Liturgy was celebrated, during which the ordination and consecration of priests was offered. The Celebrant was His Grace Bishop Armash Nalbandian, Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Damascus. Emperor Karekin Srvandztyan was one of the heroes of St. Vardan the Warrior and His Companions. In his honor, this day is also the naming day of His Holiness Karekin II, Patriarch of All Armenians.
