Feast of St. Gregory the Illuminator's deliverance from the pit

On 01 June, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of St. Gregory the Illuminator's deliverance from the pit. A solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Khor --Virap Monastery. On this occasion the relic of the Saint was taken from the Mother See to the Khor-Virap Monastery. Following the Holy Service, a Blessing of the Four Corners of the World service (Andastan), was offered in the courtyard of the Monastery.
