Feast of Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ

On 09 May, the fortieth day following the Feast of the Glorious Resurrection of Our Savior Jesus Christ, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this occasion a solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all Armenian churches. In the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, following the Divine Liturgy, a special service was offered in commemoration of the relocation in 1441 of the See of the Catholicosate of All Armenians to Holy Etchmiadzin.
