Feast of Ascension in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin-2014

On May 29, the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Ascension of Our Lord Jesus Christ. On this occasion a solemn Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all Armenian churches. In the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, following the Divine Liturgy, a special Prayer Service was offered in commemoration of the relocation in 1441 of the See of the Catholicosate of All Armenians to Holy Etchmiadzin. His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians and His Holiness Aram I, Catholicos of the Great House of Cilicia presided over the Service.
