Feast day of St. Vardan the Warrior and his 1036 Companions at the Mother See

On February 11, Armenian Church celebrated the Feast Day of St. Vardan the Warrior and his 1036 Companions. Divine Liturgy was celebrated in all Armenian churches. In the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin the celebrant was His Grace Bishop Mushegh Babayan. This day is also celebrated as the Naming Day of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians. On this occasion, following Divine Liturgy a Pontifical Prayer Service was offered at the Holy Altar of Descent.
