During the ecumenical prayer, the spiritual fathers called on Azerbaijan to release the Armenian hostages
An ecumenical prayer was held at the Saint Yeghishe Armenian Church in London. Spiritual leaders, diplomats, activists and representatives of the Armenian community participated in the church ceremony. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese of the United Kingdom and Ireland, Bishop Hovakim Manukyan reminded that our compatriots are imprisoned in Baku only because they are Armenians. During the ceremony, the messages of Cardinal Vincent Nichols and the Archbishop of Canterbury, other spiritual leaders, as well as the open letters of the families of the hostages were heard. Joining the Armenian people, the spiritual fathers called on the Azerbaijani authorities to release the Armenian hostages. The participants of the ceremony sent letters to the Armenian prisoners, putting olive branches symbolizing the end of the flood in the envelope.
