Defense of Doctoral Theses
On 05 October a defense of doctoral thesis was held in the auditorium of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary Events Center. For the ecclesiastical degree of Archamandrite (Vardapet) four members of the Brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin presented their theses. Rev. Fr. Babken Salibyan, Vicar General in Javaghk of the Armenian Church in Georgia defended his doctoral thesis entitled " The Zakharyans and the Armenian Church". Rev. Fr. Narek Avagyan presented his thesis entitled "The funeral rite between XVI-XVII centuries according to manuscript and printed Mashtots, and societal traditions". Rev. Fr. Tiran Petrosyan, Pontifical Legate for Central Europe and Scandinavia " Theology of the 7 Sacraments by Gregory of Tatev. Rev. Fr. Maghakia Amiryan, from the Armenian Diocese of Argentina defended his thesis entitled "The Pontifical Seat and its moves".
