Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Armenian Apostolic Church pays special attention to the spiritual mission in detention facilities. Several clergymen regularly visit the prisons, organizing classes of religious education and offering religious services. On January 14 in the Vardashen Detention Facility, the consecration of the St. John The Babtist chapel was offered by His Grace Bishop Artak Tigranyan, Dean of the monasteries of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.. The church was built through the efforts of the prisoners.
