Consecration of the St. Grigor Narekatsi Church in Armavir

On May 31 the consecration of the newly built St. Grigor Narekatsi Church in Armavir, was offered. Present at the ceremony were Mr. Serj Sargsyan, president of the Republic of Armenia, Primates of the Armenian Church and high ranking guests. The church is a basilica style with a 17 meters belfry. Mr. Mikael Mkrtchyan is the architect. Following the ceremony, by pontifical encyclical, Mr. Karen Mkrtchyan, benefactor of the church, was granted the "St. Gregory the Illuminator" medal of the Armenian Church.
