Commemoration of the Release of St. Gregory the Illuminator from Khor Virap

On June 22, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church commemorates the release of St. Gregory the Illuminator from Khor Virap. That day is also the pilgrimage day of the monastery. A solemn ecclesiastical procession took the relics of the Saint to Khor Virap from the Mother See.
