Commemoration of St. Gregory the Illuminator's Torture and Commitment to the Pit-2016

On March 12 the Armenian Church celebrated the Feast of the Commemoration of St. Gregory the Illuminator's torture and commitment to the pit. On this occasion Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Khor Virap Monastery. According to the Armenian Church Calendar, the feast is celebrated on the eve of the sixth Sunday during the period of Great Lent. On this solemn occasion many pilgrims from various regions of Armenian were in attendance for the service.
