Commemoration Day of Sts. Leontius (Ghevondiants) the Priest and his Companions

The Armenian Apostolic Church commemorates the Day of St. Leontius (Ghevondiants): the Priest and his Companions on Tuesday prior to the day of "Bun Barekendan". The St. Leontius' priests are those warriers who fought in the Battle of "Avarayr", and who walked in front of the soldiers and encouraged them to be brave against the Persian soldiers. This year the Day of St. Leontius (Ghevondiants) will be commemorated on 13 February, 2012.
