Celebration on the Eve of New Year in Holy Etchmiadzin

On December 31, Eve of the New Year, the brotherhood of Holy Etchmiadzin, students, academics of the Gevorkian Seminary and the staff of the Mother See, gathers in the refectory of the Mother See to celebrate the Eve of the New Year: dinner (agappe), New Year songs, wishes, jokes and, of course, gifts are the parts of the celebration. His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians presides over the celebration.
