Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

The Diocesan Assembly of the Armenian Church Diocese of Canada has elected Rev. Fr. Abgar Hovakimyan, Locum Tenens of the Armenian Diocese of Bulgaria, to serve as the new Primate of the Canadian Diocese. The Diocese was established in 1984 by the Pontifical Encyclical of the Catholicos Vazken I of blessed memory, and the St. Gregory the Illuminator Church of Montreal is its Mother Cathedral.
