Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

Mr. Hayk Maghakelyan, an Armenian Russian benefactor of the Armenian Church, served as the Godfather of the Cross during the ceremony of the service of Blessings of Waters in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin, on the Feast of the Holy Nativity and Theophany of Our Lord Jesus Christ. According to tradition the cross is to be kept in the possession of the Godfather for 40 days. Following the 40 day period, the Cross is then returned to the Mother See.
