Ascension Day in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin was marked by the celebration of Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral of His Grace Bishop Sahak Mashalian. The day also commemorates the return of the Catholicosate of All Armenians to Holy Etchmiadzin in 1441, following nearly 1000 years of moving among various Armenian cities due to political factors.
