Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

Up until 2014, over 125 Armenian families lived in Mosul, Northern Iraq. They were engaged in craftsmanship and trade. In August, 2014 the Armenian community in Mosul were forced to flee the city because of Islamist extremists who blew up the Holy Etchmiadzin Armenian Church.
