A new silver commemorative coin was put into circulation on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the founding of the Gevorgyan Theological Seminary

The coin was minted in Poland in proof quality, 925 sterling silver, weighing 33.6 grams. 500 pieces were issued, with a nominal value of 1000 drams. On the obverse side of the commemorative coin is the logo of the Seminary, a fragment from the hymn of the seminary, a dove symbolizing the Holy Spirit and a rosette of khachkar. On the reverse side is the building of the seminary and the portrait of Catholicos Gevorg IV of Constantinople, through whose efforts the seminary was founded in 1874.
