On the Monday following the Feast of the Transfiguration of Jesus Christ, a Divine Liturgy for the Remembrance of the Dead was offered in all churches. After the Liturgy, a memorial service was performed, hymns were played, scriptural quotations were read, and all the deceased were remembered, whose names were conveyed by the faithful during the Liturgy.
