500th Anniversary of the Hachkatar Holy Mother of God Church of Suchava, Romania

On the day of the Feast of the Assumption of the Holy Virgin Mary, the Armenian community of Romania celebrated the 500th anniversary of establishment of the Suchava Hachkatari Monastery. On this occasion, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians paid a pastoral visit to the Armenian Diocese of Romania, to preside over the re-consecration of the Hachkatar Holy Mother of God Church of Suchava, and the 500th anniversary celebrations. I honor of the anniversary, on the eve of the Feast, an official stamp was issued in Yerevan for "Armenian Monastery, Hachkatar 500th Anniversary". The nominal value of the issued 1000 copies of the stamp is 380dr.
