40-day Seclusion Period of Fasting for the Newly Ordained Priests

Following their ordination, priests observe a 40-day seclusion period of fasting. During this time they participate in the Morning, Midday and Evening Services and Divine Liturgy in the Mother Cathedral of Holy Etchmiadzin. After the seclusion period of fasting they will receive appointments by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians; to serve in different Dioceses of the Armenian Church.
