Visit of the Renaissance International Festival Participants to Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin
On April 18, the participants in the 9th International “Renaissance” Festival visited the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. They were accompanied by Mrs. Zara Aramyan, Republic of Armenia Honored Cultural Artist and Festival committee member. The guests were received by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannistan, Director of External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See.
The artists had traveled to Armenia from different countries and expressed their joy on the occasion of the visit to the spiritual center of all Armenians, stressing that they are greatly impressed by the Armenian architecture and culture.
Conveying to the guests the blessings and best wishes of His Holiness, Archbishop Nathan stressed the importance of the "Renaissance" festival in terms of cultural dialogue, and strengthening friendship between peoples through culture.
Archbishop Nathan also presented the historical mission of the Armenian Church in the life of the Armenians and in the preservation of national identity and culture, as well as the current activities in various sectors.
During the meeting, they reflected on the cultural and educational programs, and the pastoral activities implemented by the Church.
Following the meeting, the guests visited the museums of the Mother See, and learned about the treasures of the Armenian Church and the spiritual-cultural heritage.
